13.1 Adjustment and forfeiture of surface water allocation

The volume reported (2,210 ML) represents the volume of unused allocated water that was not permitted to be carried over at 30 June 2013 and was therefore forfeited. Carry-over of allocations is allowed for water licences in the Barossa Prescribed Water Resources Area, but is not allowed for water licences in the Little Para River Prescribed Watercourse.

Method
The volume of water forfeited at the end of the 2012–13 year was calculated as summarised in the table below.
