Supporting information

The volume recognised in the water accounting statements of 413 ML represents the volume of water held in the Copperfield Dam at 30 June 2013. This is the only surface water storage within the Daly region that is used for public water supply and is used to supply the town of Pine Creek.

A survey conducted during the year has reduced the full supply volume from 500 ML to 413 ML.

Quantification approach

Data source

Operational storage database.

Provided by

Power and Water Corporation.

Method

Storage level data is not collected at Copperfield Dam. A bathymetric survey was conducted on Copperfield Dam during May 2013 which showed that full supply volume in the dam is 413 ML. The storage is assumed to be full at 30 June 2013.

Assumptions, limitations, caveats and approximations

It is assumed the storage is at capacity at 30 June 2013. This is likely to be an overestimate of the actual volume of the storage at this date.

Uncertainty information

The uncertainty estimate was not quantified.
