5.1 Surface water allocation remaining
Supporting information
Carry-over of unused water allocated for high-reliability and low-reliability water shares in the Werribee and Bacchus Marsh irrigation districts is not permitted. The volume reported in the water accounting statements is zero.
According to Southern Rural Water's Werribee and Bacchus Marsh allocation method, any unused allocation at the end of the season (30 June) will be part of the resource available for opening allocation at the start of the following season (1 July).
The surface water allocation remaining was calculated as shown in the following table.
Account | Volume (ML) |
Opening balance at 1 July 2012 | 0 |
21.1 Surface water allocation announcements | 18,302 |
17.11 Entitled diversion of allocated surface water to users | (11,073) |
