Impact of recent rain on rainfall deficits: early June 2013

Compare maps of the percentage of average rainfall received during the 3 drought periods (each ending May 2013) to rainfall percentile maps for the drought periods which also include rainfall to 5 June. For the periods ending May, much of southeast Australia had received between 40 and 60 % of the average rainfall for the 8- 10- and 14-month periods; when considered with the addition of early-June rainfall, much of this area has now received 60 to 70 % of average rainfall for the 8- 10- and 14-months ending May.
