Comparison of rainfall anomalies for October 2012 to May 2015, or to June 2015

During June 2015 monthly rainfall totals in excess of 50 mm were recorded in parts of southern Queensland. However, these falls have had little effect on long-term serious or severe rainfall deficiencies (i.e. areas where rainfall has been at least in the lowest 10% of historical records).

For both the 32-month period from October 2012 to May 2015 and the 33-month period from October 2012 to June 2015 total rainfall over much of Queensland has been more than 400 mm below average. Drag the divider to compare maps of rainfall anomalies (i.e. how far total rainfall is above/below average) for the 32-month period and 33-month period to see the effect of rainfall during June 2015 on these anomalies.
