• Rainfall totals in September were below to very much below average for most of the state away from parts of the north coast, with parts of the Central Tablelands and its surrounds recording lowest on record rainfall for all Septembers since 1900.
• New South Wales's area-averaged rainfall total in September was 28.1 mm, 80% below the 1961–1990 average, the fourth-driest on record for all Septembers since 1900.

• Mean maximum temperatures in September were above to very much above average across the state, with parts of the central north recording highest on record temperatures for all Septembers since 1910.
• New South Wales's area-averaged mean maximum temperature was 25.0 °C, 4.41 °C above the 1961–1990 average, the third-warmest on record for all Septembers since 1910.
• New South Wales had its highest mean maximum temperature for September since 2023.
• A few sites had their hottest September day (highest daily maximum temperature) on record.
• Several sites had their highest September mean maximum temperature on record or their highest September mean maximum temperature for at least 20 years.
• Mean minimum temperatures in September were above to very much above average for most of the state away from the south-east and parts of the interior.
• New South Wales's area-averaged mean minimum temperature was 9.3 °C, 2.24 °C above the 1961–1990 average, the third-warmest on record for all Septembers since 1910.
• New South Wales had its highest mean minimum temperature for September since 2013.
• Albion Park (Shellharbour Airport) had its warmest September night (highest daily minimum temperature) on record.
