Water Restrictions

The Bureau of Meteorology’s Water Restrictions website provides access to current water restrictions information for the whole of Australia. Water restrictions information can be searched by State or Territory, water agency and restriction name. Water restriction names and rules vary throughout Australia due to local requirements.

Sprinklers can be used between 6pm and 10am.

A hand held hose must be leak free and fitted with a trigger nozzle and can be used at any time.

Watering systems can only be used to water public gardens, lawns and playing surfaces between 6pm and 10am, any day of the week. Public gardens, lawns, and playing surfaces may also be watered in accordance with an approved Water Use Plan.

Water in fountains and water features must be recirculated.

Water should not be used to clean hard surfaces including hosing down driveways, paths, concrete, timber decking and other paved areas.
